We have added a few extra markets to our Spring/Summer lineup for 2014! We have a massive few months ahead of us in the lead up to Christmas, including our regular spot at The Rose Street Artist Market and a few Special events such as The Finders Keepers Market in Melbourne, The Fine Design Market in Doncaster, Bowerbird Bazaar in Adelaide (roadtrip!!) and New Craft at the Queen Vic Markets in Melbourne! So much market goodness! we can't wait to see you all at one or all!!
Big Thanks to everyone who came to see us this past Finders Keepers at the Royal Exhibiton Centre in Melbourne.
Its so nice for us to do a market of this scale on our home soil not to mention amongst so many of our talented peers! (its a shame we didn't get to go around and check out all your stalls, it was just too nuts!! )
So from Flock, Thanks everyone! We are here for you all and your support means the world to us!
So many things have been happening for us here at the house of Flock! New markets, new customers, new products, new new new!
Most recently we participated in the first ever NEW CRAFT @ Queen Victoria Market, run through Craft Vic.
We optimistically signed up to all 9 of the markets, held on the first Sunday of every month and leading up too Christmas. And we are so glad we made this jump! The first market was held this past Sunday April 6th, and we are very happy to report that it was a fabulously successful day!
And not just in the usual, good sales kind of way, but more so in the crowds, the amazing and super friendly fellow stall holders, the loverly customers who came to see us and fantastic venue and excellent Craft Vic and Queen Vic Market staff who took the time to introduce themselves.
Anyway, for all you die hards, the next one is happening on May 4th (Sadly we won't be at this one, i know i know, i said we were at all, but Adelaide calls us that weekend! We shall be over the border at the Bowerbird Bazaar), and even though we won't be there, we highly recommend a visit! We will be back in June! (otherwise you can still see us at our regular haunt, The Rose St Artist Market
We had been working our fingers to the bone for the last few months prepping for our first visit to The Finder's Keepers Market this past weekend. And boy was it worth it! in levels beyond the obvious, we got to meet with so many amazing people, supporters and fellow stall holders, all braving the popularity that is The Finders Keepers at Melbourne's Royal Exhibition Centre!
We started our day at the early hours of morning, myself waking up at the crack of dawn at the anticipation of a big day (and im sure Stacey was in the same boat!) followed by a few last minute trips seeking final touches for our brand new display we have been simultaneously working on. (including a mad run to ikea where i managed to get lost and develop the 'Ikea Sweats', a condition i believe that comes from the panic of getting ridiculously lost in ikea's maze of arrowed pathways not much different to an Escher painting or maybe that scene at the end of Labyrinth minus a lycra clad bowie and a baby in a stripy onesy)
Anyway by lunch we were back in the burbs, packing the car (thankgod for all my youths worth of tetris playing!) and off to the Royal Exhibition Centre, excited about finally setting up our stall after only being able to imagine what i was going to look like.
By 4:30pm we were done, smiling all the way to the cafe for a much needed lunch break and a quiet breather before the doors finally opened at 6pm..
And then 6pm came, it was a rush of smiles and excitement, happy faces and glowing compliments.
And then it was 10pm... and day one as we knew it had ended, declared an official success and then toasted with some late night cheeseburgers and smiles all round.
Love waking up in the morning to a little bit of Flock Love from over the oceans!
Thankyou Fran Howard from Hoops and Dangles for including us in your treasury and Fall Catalog!

This market is a great little indoors treat, no rain, wind or flooded floors to worry about! They have a great a mixture of products as well as some yummo food stalls! (there were some amazing friands on offer last time, and from what i heard, they went super fast...mmm friands...)
And i believe that the September market marks their 1st birthday so im sure this one will be extra special including a prize hamper full of market goodies! woowzers!
How could we resist the lure of creating a yet another new line of unique products inspired by confetti and polka dots!! These guys were so much fun that we feel this is just the beginning of yet another flock'n era of play!
We have a few pairs freshly listed on Etsy with a few more available from one of our many upcoming markets.
Plus Boom Gallery in Geelong has put their hands up for a few to hit their shelves in the very near future!
We are booking up every available day with a market in the lead-up to Christmas, (fingers crossed, with more to come! )
